About the McKinney Golf Tournament
The annual golf tournament benefits the Hewitt Memorial Scholarship Fund and the MBREA’s Kinsella Scholarship Fund. Established in 1981, the purpose of the Hewitt Memorial Scholarship Fund is to honor the memory of John D. Hewitt, MAI, SRPA by promoting excellence in appraisal education. Started over 20 years ago, the McKenney Memorial Golf Tournament was named in honor of Fred McKenney, a past Chapter President of both the AIREA and SREA local chapters, an instructor for both organizations, friend to many and avid golfer. All net monies raised will be donated the Hewitt Scholarship Fund and the Kinsella Scholarship Fund.
