SEPTEMBER 6TH – JAY ZEIGER SERVICE DAY
Volunteer In Our Community!
| The Massachusetts Rhode Island & Maine Chapter is pleased to be back at the Greater Boston Food Bank to honor the memory of Jay with a day of service. Over the years, Chapter AI professionals have donated hundreds of hours to this worthwhile service project.
Volunteers will inspect, sort, and repack donated grocery products that are then distributed to hunger relief agencies. All volunteers are trained in food safety at the beginning of the shift. Volunteers work together as a team on an assembly line, and may be working alongside other groups. Some volunteers load boxes onto conveyor belts, other volunteers inspect products, others sort products, and others check and label boxes. A few of these “jobs” require the ability to lift a box of about 30 pounds, but the majority of positions simply require that a volunteer can stand and inspect products for a few hours.
Volunteer Information – The volunteer shift is now FULL.
Shift Information: September 6th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Parking: Parking is available in the gated lot located diagonally across the street from the main entrance. Turn LEFT at Topeka and South Bay Avenue. Cars must be removed from the lot by close of business at 4:30 pm. All remaining vehicles risk being towed at the owners’ expense.

Join the MARIME Chapter for a post Jay Zeiger Service Day Simply Social event starting at 4:30 pm at the Dorchester Brewing Company for an informal meet and greet. Co-workers and friends are invited.
